Thirty-one years ago I lost my mother in an unthinkable tragedy. My mom was blessed to have three sisters who became my new mothers. My mother’s oldest sister adopted me, opening her home to me despite all the unknowns that were to come. With the responsibility of another child to raise she pressed through the difficulties of mourning for her sister while providing the love and attention I would need growing up.
On this Mother’s Day, I want to thank the most wonderful SuperMoms who saw to it that I had everything I needed and most of what I wanted.
Now that I’ve taken the SuperMom oath, I clearly understand the love, commitment, perseverance and prayer that it takes to raise a family. It is not easy but so worth it!
So it goes…
